Ir. Andy Goh graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University Science in Penang (Malaysia) in 2006. After working in the Consulting environment for more than 10 years, he honed his skills in Green Building Design and Technology and today he is a certified Green Building Facilitator.
Andy is also a Professional Mechanical Engineer, registered with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia. He has completed many M&E projects in Malaysia such as the Petronas RAPID Development in Pengerang, Johor, and the PRIMA Affordable Housing Project in Melaka. Andy is also a certified International Professional Engineer, as well as an ASEAN Engineer and he has been involved in projects in Cambodia.
Andy is also trained and certified by the Energy Commission of Malaysia as a ‘Registered Electrical Energy Manager’ (REEM) and he carries out Energy Efficiency Audits. He optimises the energy usage in Hotels and Shopping Malls in Malaysia and he also completed an efficient state-of-the-art air conditioning system for one international university in Nilai.
Of late, Andy has become a recognised and certified Thermographer, as he uses a specialised camera to scan the electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, distribution boards and power cables. This helps to detect hot spots in such equipment, to improve the reliability of the electrical supply.
He is also passionate about reducing our carbon footprint and he helps to ensure One Alpha recycles our paper, amongst other Green initiatives!
